Black Narcissus
Composed by Joe Henderson (1969)
Black narcissus
Timeless, wordless
Rushing streams that hold no reason
And now there's clear pools
Holding faces of the people
Who found their lives
Were so skillfully tossed
In vain
Why should there be
Anyone who can't love?
You must love yourself
As you do with everyone who
Looks into this
Pool of love and sees themselves as
So bold, and perfect
And completely one
The waters will be joined as the ocean.
